Melodies of Revelation

The song that really caught my attention today was Jonas Brothers' "When You Look Me In The Eyes".

When you look me in the eyes
And tell me that you love me
Everything's alright

When you're right here by my side

When you look me in the eyes

I catch a glimpse of heaven

I found my paradise
When you look me in the eyes
I can't say that I've ever had a special someone look me in the eyes, but I think that it would be a very magical moment. Our eyes are the windows to our souls after all. ^^ I can kind of imagine that our eye colour is like the curtains of the windows - they're for decoration, they make us unique, they make us endearing to some people but not so much to others, but they can never hide what lies within.

Another tune that got stuck in my head recently would be "Our Song" by Taylor Swift.
Our song is a slamming screen door
Sneakin' out late, tapping on your window
When we're on the phone and you talk real slow
Cause it's late and your mama don't know
Our song is the way you laugh
The first date "Man, I didn't kiss her, and I should have"
And when I got home, before i said 'Amen'
Asking God if He could play it again

Now isn't that just the sweetest song ever? =) I wish I could have that kinda song someday. It's a song that has this really feel-good vibe to it. Nevertheless, when you think about it, loving couples don't even need a theme song. The music of love and all the small-but-loving gestures orchestrate as good a melody and just as special, because it was composed by those two particular people. ^^

Well, Hope dies hard yet springs eternal. And maybe someday, that special someone will realize that we've been right here waiting. =)

If you just realize what i just realized
Then we'd be perfect for each other
and will never find another
Just realized what I just realized
We'd never have to wonder
If we missed out on each other now

I finally realized the meaning of Colbie Caillat's song "Realize".
